Denise Brosseau - Building Well-Connected Leaders

So many resources, so little time!

Check out my friend Barbara Coll’s  blog Webmama.com that includes a list of 80 Digital Resources for building a great website. It was the inspiration for today’s blogpost about great productivity tools that no one should live without.

www.roboform.com – I always start every list with this great FREE tool. It saves all your passwords so you don’t have to – and you just put one password on Roboform and you’re good to go. What a time saver!

www.asenz360.com – I couldn’t have built my website without this wonderful tool and great team. Check out the easy-to-use fully editable sites you can create quickly and easily. It has a database back-end so you can track users to your site, send customized emails and even have members, without fuss. The tools let you do everything yourself or they have a full staff to do it all for you, too.

www.opentable.com – is there anyone left who is not using Open Table to book a table at their favorite restaurant?

www.centraldesktop.com – I recommend this inexpensive tool for any team with shared milestones and tasks. Easy to use and has built-in web meetings too!

www.wemeus.com - Here’s the (not yet broadly available) tool I use for managing my extra-large database of contacts – it allows you to import from all of your social networks and Outlook and then allows you to set reminders so you get back in-touch with someone – a client, friend or acquaintance – on a more regular schedule.

www.ringcentral.com and Google Voice (not yet broadly available) – set up a single phone number that accepts your calls and faxes and routes them to wherever you are. Voicemail messages and faxes are also sent to your email as attachments and with GoogleVoice there is even speech-to-text built in so your messages are transcribed and sent to you as SMS.

www.slideshare.com – I have recently become a fan of this tool – let’s you add a slideshow to your LinkedIn page. I just created a cool slideshow for one of my clients who is a photojournalist – makes her LinkedIn page really sing.

www.brainshark.com – OK, I admit, I haven’t used this tool yet since it is quite pricey, but boy is the demo cool. Create wow-inspiring training or sales presentations that include voice and track people’s views. It even allows those watching the presentation to ask for more information.

Jump Start Social Media - they have two very well-written guides to setting up your Facebook and LinkedIn pages.

Seattle Chocolates – OK, it’s not really a productivity tool but it IS my favorite chocolate and that is the best resource I can think to share with anyone!

I could go on, but I’ll save the remainder for another blog post. If you have some great tools you use and love, please pass them along!
