Denise Brosseau CEO, Well-Connected Leader, Inc.
Denise Brosseau is the founder and CEO of Well-Connected Leader, Inc. (WCL) She is a well-known thought leader and expert in women's leadership, talent development and retention. WCL clients include executives at Genentech, Apple and SAP, as well as senior leaders in law firms, accounting firms, consulting firms and the US Military. Denise is a frequent keynote and seminar speaker at companies like Intel, Intuit and KPMG; women's leadership conferences including the California Governor's Conference for Women; and college campuses, including Wellesley, Princeton and Stanford.
Professional Experience
Denise spent the first 10 years of her career in the high tech industry, with leadership positions in marketing, product development and international business development at Motorola, Kensington/Acco and Broderbund Software.
In 1998, she joined the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs (FWE) as full time CEO (an organization she co-founded in 1993), growing this non-profit into the country’s leading organization for high-growth women-led start-ups with seven offices and over 1200 members. Under her leadership, more than $1 billion in venture capital flowed to member’s companies in just three years. Along the way she built FWE into a powerful network of female executives, earning extensive media coverage as well as several high-profile community service awards. Denise also co-founded the Springboard Venture Forums, a nationwide series of venture capital conferences that feature women-led and founded companies, that have helped raise over $5 billion for participating companies since 2000. Brosseau continues to serve on the National Council of Advisors of the venture catalyst, Springboard Enterprises, that now hosts and leads these events, www.springboardenterprises.org.
In 2006, Denise and Ruth Stergiou started Invent Your Future, a professional development company, and launched the first Invent Your Future Conference for Women in Silicon Valley. The organization continues to thrive and the conference, now in its fifth year, attracts women leaders from technology, life sciences, non-profits and professional services. Debbie Wolter Executive Consultant
Debbie Wolter is a coach and consultant focusing on career management, executive coaching and team development. Debbie has over 20 years of experience in business strategy, marketing and investments. She also has extensive experience working in China, India and Japan.
Professional Experience
Debbie worked for AT&T for over 15 years. Most recently she led AT&T Ventures and managed a portfolio of over 30 companies.
Debbie also led AT&T’s Corporate Strategy Group. Her team was responsible for the evaluation and execution of AT&T’s innovation initiatives in both the consumer and enterprise markets. She also was a leader in the investment management process for $1B+ in annual R&D spending. Prior to this, Debbie led Business Development deals, primarily for Internet applications and entertainment .
From 1992 – 1998, Debbie worked in Hong Kong for AT&T Asia/Pacific. She was the Managing Director, IP Marketing and Product Management. In this role, she designed and launched a new business unit to provide customers across Asia with a range of IP services. She managed a large team that spread across 7 countries. Prior to that, she led AT&T’s expansion into India and China as the Managing Director, Asia/Pacific Strategy.
