Our team is led by Denise Brosseau, who has been helping people connect to the right networks and resources for 25 years.
Denise Brosseau is the founder and CEO of Well-Connected Leader, Inc. a company dedicated to the success of corporate, entrepreneurial and non-profit leaders. Well-Connected clients include managers, directors and VPs looking to reach the next rung on the corporate ladder by contributing more to their organizations, entrepreneurs and sales professionals seeking to grow their businesses, and seasoned executives who want strategic guidance during career turning points.
A professional speaker, Brosseau is a frequent corporate seminar leader. She also presents regularly at many high-profile state and national association conferences. She has guest lectured at Wellesley College, Princeton, MIT and Stanford University. She is most frequently asked to deliver keynotes and seminars to groups of professionals in the areas of Well-Connected Leadership and Well-Connected Entrepreneurship.
Brosseau spent the first 10 years of her career in the high tech industry, with leadership positions in marketing, product development and international business development at Motorola, Kensington/Acco and Broderbund Software. In 1998, she launched the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs (FWE), growing this non-profit into the country’s leading organization for high-growth women-led start-ups with seven offices and over 1200 members. Under her leadership, more than $1 billion in venture capital flowed to member’s companies in just three years. Along the way she built FWE into a powerful network of female executives, earning extensive media coverage as well as several high-profile community service awards. Brosseau also co-founded the Springboard Venture Forums, a nationwide series of venture capital conferences that feature women-led and founded companies, that have helped raise over $4 billion for participating companies since 2000. Brosseau continues to serve as a strategic advisor to the organization, Springboard Enterprises: www.springboardenterprises.org .
In 2005, she co-founded Invent Your Future Enterprises (www.inventyourfuture.com), a professional development company specializing in the retention, development and acceleration of women leaders. While at Invent Your Future, Denise worked with women leaders one-on-one, led leadership workshops and coached mastermind sessions. The Well-Connected Leader came about as an outgrowth of this work.
Denise is a graduate of Wellesley College and holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She is hard at work on her first book, The Well-Connected Woman Leader, which is expected by 2011. She serves on the Board of the Wellesley Business Leadership Council and Planned Parenthood Mar Monte’s Advocacy Board. She recently joined the National Advisory Council for Springboard Enterprises. An avid advocate for mentoring, she co-founded and continues to run a summer internship program for Bay Area Wellesley undergrads, and a mentoring program for Stanford business school students who are considering a career in entrepreneurship. She herself is a mentor to many start-up company CEOs.
